About Loïc Barancourt

Operator. Strategist. Orchestrator.

Three words, earned in that order.

Operator

Growth operator. Opening markets where none existed, pioneering new categories and scaling what works. P&L accountability and hard decisions carried under real pressure, from inside the arena.

Strategist

Board-level thinking across strategy, governance and long-term positioning. The work goes well beyond execution: it shapes where a company plays and how it wins over years, not quarters.

Orchestrator

Strategy without execution is useless. Turning it into outcomes takes the right operating system, and real collaboration between people and companies: the right minds working together, creating results greater than the sum of their parts.

The story

Built in the field, across two hemispheres.

Loïc is French-Australian, based in Sydney. His career spans CEO and CRO roles in PE-backed IoT and software businesses, with deep expertise in energy markets, cross-border APAC–EMEA operations and commercial turnarounds.

He co-founded Thinxtra, the IoT connectivity company, led it as CEO for six years and raised AU$47M along the way, then went on to lead the commercial turnaround of Sigfox's global business at UnaBiz, one of the more demanding rescues in IoT. Sigfox had raised over US$400M and was burning US$100M a year when the assets were acquired. Thirty months later the business had reached breakeven, recurring revenue had grown 700% and it had been repositioned as a global AIoT service provider and system integrator.

That pattern repeats through his work: take a hard commercial situation, find the strategy the field will actually support, then build the team and the momentum to deliver it.
